Visit to Troglodytic Cellars and Wine Tasting near Chenonceau
Immerse yourself in the history of Touraine! Just 2 km from the Château de Chenonceau, the GODEAU family welcomes you to their cellars, carved into the tuffeau limestone in the 19th century. Come share our passion as independent winemakers and discover the authenticity of our Touraine and Touraine-Chenonceaux AOC wines.
The cellar tour is free and open to all: discover our history by visiting the troglodytic cellars hand-carved by Auguste.
Wine Tasting (1 to 4 people)
No need to book your tasting for up to 4 people: As long as you come during our opening hours, you will always find someone who will be happy to welcome you.
Discover our wines during a tasting of white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines, accompanied by explanations about our history, the winemaking process, or any other wine-related information you’d like to learn.
The tasting is free if you purchase wine (up to €12 spent per person, or an average of 3 bottles per couple). Otherwise, we ask for a contribution of €4 per adult.
The cellar tour can be taken before or after the tasting (self-guided tour).
For groups of 5 or more, we recommend that you let us know you’re coming.

For groups of 5 or more, to ensure the quality of our service, we recommend booking your tasting slot.
If you are a small group and would like to discover the wines of Touraine, no problem! We have several small cellars and a team of us to welcome you. Just remember to let us know you’re coming.
The tasting is free if you purchase wine (up to €12 per person, or an average of 3 bottles per couple). Otherwise, we ask for a contribution of €4 per adult.
The cellars can be visited before or after the tasting on a self-guided basis.
The Gourmet Platter
(Tasting + Charcuterie and Cheese + Self-Guided Tour)
To enjoy a pleasant experience and make the most of the wines: reserve a platter of local charcuterie and cheeses for your tasting. The cellar tour is self-guided and can be taken before or after the tasting.
A gift certificate is included with your ticket so you can extend the enjoyment of our wines once you’re home!

You’ll discover all aspects of our profession by being accompanied by a winemaker in their vineyards. During a 2 km walk, you’ll learn all about this fascinating craft. Then, explore the cellars, hand-dug by Auguste 145 years ago. And finally, of course, enjoy a tasting with explanations and answers to your questions.
Duration: 2-2.5 hours
